Tyler Castle Bio

Tyler Castle began his racing career with a bang. In his first Quarter Midget race in 2003, Castle took his first trip to Victory Lane. The rest of his rookie season was equally as successful as he finished second in the First State Championship.  Castle qualified on the pole for his first national race during his sophomore season and won the Cup Championship, a regional points series between Hagerstown Speedway (MD) and Oaklane Speedway (PA), the following year despite moving up to the faster Light Modified and Light B divisions.

Over the next few years Castle raced his way to numerous titles including another Cup Championship, a state Championship, a National Championship and a track record at Oaklane Speedway.

Towards the end of the 2009 season, Castle made the transition to a Legend Car. In 2010, the Young Lions division driver earned 13 top-five finishes and two wins, one of which came at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC). The Maryland-native traveled to multiple states and competed in the biggest events offered for Legend Cars including the Inaugural Legends Million, the Asphalt Nationals and the Winter Heat Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

After a successful start to the 2011 season competing at the Winter Heat Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC) in his Legend Car, Castle split time between his Legend and a Limited Late Model and plans to do the same in 2012.
